9th Tank Regiment, originated in June 24th 1942 under the Imperial Japanese 1st Armored Division. Responsible for the border patrol of the Manchuko-Russian border. Assigned to the 31st Imperial Japanese army in the Mariana's in March of 1944 due to the Pacific War. Obliterated during the Battle of Saipan and Guam, June-July 1944. The 9th tank regiment was split into 6 basic companies under the command of Colonel Goshima. HQ company, 1st company, 2nd company, 3rd company, 4th company, and 5th company. The 9th regiment had a total of 81 documented tanks, (5 Type 97 Chi Ha shinhoto variants, 41 Type 97 Chi Ha variants, and 35 Type 95 Ha Go variants)
